Justin Jennings represents firefighters, probation officers, and other public employees in high-stakes employment and constitutional matters involving municipal and county governments. His practice also includes advocating for children in school-related neglect and safety cases, where he works closely with families to address institutional failures and secure accountability from school districts. Justin’s litigation experience spans discovery management, deposition preparation, motion practice, and trial support in both state and federal courts.

In addition to his current work, Justin has experience in entertainment and intellectual property matters, advising clients in film, music, media, and digital content on protecting creative rights, including the review of licensing agreements and assisting with the resolution of copyright and ownership disputes.

Justin also has substantial background in personal injury litigation on both sides of the aisle, having supported plaintiff-side catastrophic injury cases at a prominent California-based plaintiff litigation firm and handled insurance-side claims work and litigation support at one of the nation’s leading specialized insurers.

He earned his LL.M. in Entertainment and Media Law from Southwestern Law School and his J.D. from the Appalachian School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Appalachian Natural Resources Law Journal. He also studied international entertainment and media law at the University of London and holds both an M.A. in Economics (Public Administration concentration) and a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia State University.

Prior to his legal studies, Justin served as a caseworker for former U.S. Senator Jim Webb and worked in the Office of the Governor of Virginia under former Governor Tim Kaine as Gubernatorial Appointments Assistant and later Acting Director of Restoration of Rights.
