Our Support Staff
Haney & Shah takes great pride in their staff members who assist our attorneys with litigation matters and at trial. Over the years, the firm has had numerous Paralegals, File Clerks, and Litigation Assistants who when they leave their service to the firm go on to Law School and ultimately become lawyers. At this time, the firm has two outstanding paralegals named Lauren Moorehead and Paige DeWilde, who in addition to their paralegal duties also act as litigation assistants. In their dual capacities, Lauren, and Paige conduct research and writing on both trial and appellate matters, keep the firm’s calendar, assist with discovery, and manage the firm’s voluminous files. Both Lauren and Paige have positive working attitudes and great people skills. At our firm, they are highly valued members of our team.
Lauren is the lead litigation assistant at our firm. She has extensive trial experience and has participated in many trials. Lauren works closely with the trial attorneys and our clients analyzing and developing strategies in all phases of the case from discovery through to trial. She also handles the firm calendar and facilitates meetings between the client and our attorneys. She communicates with the client to keep them informed about their case and any upcoming events. She prepares and files documents with the Court and is our firm’s interface with the Court. She assists with investigations, research and analysis of legal and medical issues, developing witness examinations, preparing discovery and responses, and all aspects of trial preparations.
Lauren loves working in the legal field and started over 5 years ago as a legal secretary in workers’ compensation. Lauren received her Legal Secretary Certificate from West Los Angeles College in 2020 and completed her Paralegal Studies Program earning her degree and certificate from West Los Angeles College in 2022, graduating summa cum laude.
Lauren is a mother of two, enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, traveling, volunteers with homeless outreach, and in her free time trains with the Los Angeles Running Club, and participates in multiple races throughout the year.
Paige DeWilde joined the firm in 2021 and has since handled file management, communicating, and conferring with clients, and frequently filing and serving legal documents. She has her Paralegal Certificate from Coastline Community College and is a member of the Orange County Paralegal Association.
In 2018, she graduated from Orange Coast Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in Film. Paige often uses her background in film to handle editing and processing of audio and video in preparing for trials. In her free time, she enjoys reading thriller novels (her favorite author is Gillian Flynn) and listening to her growing collection of vinyl records and cassette tapes (her favorite artist is Pink Floyd).
